SINGAPORE, November 7, 2023 — The “Roundtable on Trade & Investment
Opportunities between Kosovo and Singapore” was taken place at the Deejaring Room, Trade Association Hub in Jurong Town Hall. This significant event brings together key stakeholders from both countries to discuss potential trade and investment opportunities, fostering stronger economic ties between Kosovo and Singapore.
The roundtable includes government officials, business leaders, and industry experts who will share insights on the economic landscape, leading industries, and investment potential in sectors like energy, mining, and telecommunications in Kosovo. The discussions aim to identify areas of mutual interest and benefit, paving the way for increased trade relations and foreign direct investment between the two nations.
The event will commence with an opening session by Dato’ Steve Cheah, Diplomatic Council Head of Mission: Mekong Countries & Chairman: Think-tank on Innovation, Sustainability, Entrepreneurship & Education. This will be followed by welcome remarks from Ms. Ulpiana Lama, Chargée d’affaires a.i., Kosovo Embassy in Bangkok.
The highlight of the event will be the keynote addresses by H.E. Dr. Vjosa Osmani Sadriu, President of the Republic of Kosovo, and Dr. Alan Lim, CEO Singapore-Thai Chamber of Commerce.
The roundtable will also feature presentations on trade and investment opportunities in Kosovo and Singapore by Mr. Arian Zeka, CEO American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo, and Mr. Samuel Cheng, Co-Founder Simple Group Private Limited, respectively.
The event promises to be a significant step towards strengthening bilateral relations, promoting economic growth, and creating a win-win situation for both Kosovo and Singapore.
